Going to the dentist has always been an enjoyable experience for Dr. Hajee, and with no surprise he decided to make a career out of it. Dr. Shamil Hajee grew up in Burnaby, where he graduated from Simon Fraser University with a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. After a brief period of working in Cancer Research, he went on to receive his D.M.D. from The University of Sydney, in Australia. During his time there, he was actively involved in the community as a volunteer in several outreach programs as well as providing dental care in under-serviced areas.

Dr. Hajee has a strong belief in taking the time to get to know his patients, specifically their needs and goals for their overall health. His objective is to work together with his patients to deliver the best possible dental care. Dr. Hajee is passionate about continuing education to further improve his skills and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. His favourite aspects include: Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery as well as Cosmetic Dentistry to help his patients feel confident in their smile.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hajee enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active through activities such as running, hiking and cycling. He enjoys live music and comedy and is always looking for a good laugh. He is also an avid traveller and loves taking every opportunity to experience new food and culture with his wife, Nabila.

Dr. Rahmany grew up in Ontario and attended the University of Ottawa for his undergraduate studies in Health Sciences.  He then went on to the University of Western Ontario and obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.  Immediately after graduation in 2003, the beauty, landscape and climate of the West Coast drew him to the Lower Mainland.

Dr. Rahmany has been in private practice for close to 2 decades.  He is passionate about dentistry, a self-described “dental-nerd” :).  His particular passion is in the field of dental implants and cosmetic dentistry.  He has travelled extensively throughout North and Latin America, attending dental conferences, conventions and seminars, having trained under some of the most illustrious global pioneers in implant dentistry.  He is also involved in a number of local and national implant study clubs. With his vast experience in placing dental implants, Dr. Rahmany has frequently mentored other Doctors, often having them visit his practice to observe him performing various advanced procedures.

Dr. Rahmany values making dentistry personable and feels that patient care and comfort, along with effective communication are the most important parts of the treatment process.  He believes that treatment plans should be all-encompassing and include care, safety, esthetics and function.  By addressing patient expectations, concerns and goals, Dr. Rahmany can better design a treatment plan that suits a patient’s needs and values.

He has provided volunteer dentistry in underserved and remote First Nations communities in Northern Ontario, and has also done volunteer dentistry in social and economic development projects in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and remote parts of Mexico.

Dr. Rahmany enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Samira, and their energetic young children, daughter Lua and son Matisse.  In his spare time, he takes every opportunity to ski the local mountains, hiking and playing basketball in addition to contributing to charitable community causes promoting youth empowerment in service and the performing arts.

Dr. Jeevanjot Sethi was raised in Surrey, BC and obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery
Degree from the University of Adelaide in Australia.
His personal philosophy as a dentist, centers around providing excellent clinical care in a gentle
and compassionate manner. Dr. Sethi regularly attends professional development courses and
strives to stay at the forefront of the latest evidence-based techniques and technology in
dentistry. He feels it is important to work collaboratively with each patient to achieve their oral
health goals and is dedicated to ensuring each patient feels at ease during their dental
appointments.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hiking and exploring new trails with family and friends.

Dr. Jessica Virk is one of those people who found her career and passion bind into one – dentistry! She truly loves all things teeth and keeps herself informed of the latest techniques and technologies. She is a giver by nature and prioritizes patient comfort.

Prior to moving to sunny Australia to complete her dental education at Griffith University she attended The University of British Columbia for her nursing education. She practiced as a registered nurse in the lower mainland for several years as her first career.

Outside of dentistry she is a big foodie and loves exploring other cultures, nature, fashion and interior design. When the snowboarding season starts you can find her in the mountains! She can’t wait to get to know you all.

Dr. Liz Girgulis is a compassionate dentist who believes that exceptional care begins with strong, trusting relationships with her patients. Originally from Calgary, she completed both her undergraduate and dental education at Dalhousie University in Halifax. After practicing in rural Nova Scotia, she relocated to Squamish, where she is grateful to live and work.

Committed to creating a comfortable and supportive environment, Dr. Liz values delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. She places a strong emphasis on patient education and enjoys helping individuals understand their oral health so they can make confident, informed decisions about their treatment. She has a special interest in restorative dentistry, surgery, and paediatrics, and is committed to continually expanding her skills to provide comprehensive care.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs. You’ll often find her on the trails running, biking, skiing, or climbing.
