Botox® can be used cosmetically to reduce lines and wrinkles, or to relieve conditions such as bruxism, TMD or migraines.
In addition to its cosmetic uses, Botox® can be administered by our trained practitioners as a treatment for disorders of the jaw joint and associated muscle pain. The temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) is located where the jaw-bone meets the skull and can become overworked or displaced by overuse, teeth grinding or clenching. This can lead to headaches and jaw pain.
Botox® injections have been proven to work by reducing jaw tension and relieving some of the discomfort. Cosmetic injections are most effective on fine lines in the forehead, around the eyes, and between eyebrows.
